Dear friend,
Can you believe we are just a day(s) away from our holidays season(s) wrapping up and the end of this year 2023?!?! It's no joke when they say the years go by faster as you get older!
I had dinner with a dear friend last night. We sat down, toasted to being together, and just had a moment of WOW! We were trying to figure out when the last time we were together and realized it at her 4th of July party. We just both sat back in our seats a little sad and shocked that it had been that long since we shared time in person together. We made a promise to each other at the end of the night that we were going to do better and are making plans for our next meet-up in the New Year.
As I went home I was thinking about this more and realized that throughout 2023 I have not shared as much time with my dearest friends as we have in previous years. Kids are growing up and in more activities, our personal and work travel schedules are getting more active again, and life just happens to keep you away at times. We all have seasons where we head in different paths for a bit, but what I do love about my circle of people is when we make our way back together it's as if little time was lost and the time we share fills my heart with joy.
In a little over a week Sophie & I will be heading to Arizona for the holidays with our family. I am looking forward to the time away, solid family time and taking some quiet moments to focus on goals and plans for 2024, both personal and work. Do you make goals for the New Year for yourself? This year has been something wonderful and a little tough too at times....but I have been fortunate for more good than bad. And the BEST part of my year was June when Sophie came home to her forever home. Everyday has been so fun with her - even through those sleepless nights of potty training - she really makes me laugh every day.
As we wrap up 2023...I want to say how much I appreicate each of you! Thank you for being here on this journey with me and welcoming me into your circle every now and again. One goal for the New Year is to be here on more of a regular basis and share what's happening, new discoveries and a little more along they way.
