ABOUT THE BASE
Where softness meets artistry.
Atelier DK blends baby alpaca, wool, and silk into a yarn that feels both luxurious and approachable. Baby alpaca brings warmth and softness, wool adds structure and resilience, and silk lends a gentle sheen and elegant drape. The result is a beautifully balanced DK weight yarn that glides across the needles and creates fabrics that feel refined yet wearable.
Fiber content: 840% Baby Alpaca / 40% Wool / 20% Silk, (252 yd / 230 m / 100 g, 1 ply)
Important Note: All yarn is dyed in small batches - meaning that each skein, while using the same dye recipe, will be slightly unique due to the nature of my dyeing process. Additionally, while I do my best to make sure each photo matches the actual skeins, color may vary slightly from screen to screen (phone, computer. etc.)
Disclaimers: After the finished skeins are washed, some bleeding may occur (especially on colorways with turquoise or red/magenta). It should stop within a few washes.

I always attempt to photograph each item's color accurately, but monitor settings vary. I photograph in natural lighting, which varies with the seasons. I attempt to capture an accurate representation of each colorway. Some skeins and braids will have differences in color (i.e. white spots, different balance of color, etc.) to the main listing photograph.
