Share More Than Stitches

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately. About this space. About you. About the quiet threads that connect us beyond our love for fiber and pattern. And here’s what’s been tugging at me: I want to share more.
Not just the finished objects or pattern launches. Not just the tools I love or the yarn I’m swooning over. But the stuff underneath. The real stuff. The messy, beautiful, very human parts of being a maker.
The truth is, so much of what we do here at Factory Girl Design is rooted in connection. And lately, I’ve been craving a deeper one. I want this to feel like more than a brand or a business. I want it to feel like a conversation. A community. A place where stories are shared and hearts are held.
So I’m starting something new.
It’s not a big launch or a fancy name (at least, not yet). Just a quiet little story series, written by me, from the heart. I’ll be sharing what’s inspiring me, what I’m struggling with, what I’m learning in both my knitting and my life. The behind-the-scenes moments that don’t always make it to the grid. The questions I’m asking. The lessons that come when I least expect them.
I don’t have a schedule or a format figured out. I’m just starting. Jotting down notes as things happen. I’ll show up when I have something real to say. And I hope you’ll be there, too.
And because I want this to be a conversation, not a monologue, I’d love to hear from you.
What would you like to know more about? What questions do you carry in your making life right now? Are there parts of my process, or my journey, that you’re curious about? Things you’re navigating in your own creative world that you’d like me to speak to?
Whether it’s:
how I choose yarns and build collections
what it’s like running a fiber-focused business
how I stay grounded in seasons of overwhelm
the role faith or healing plays in my creative process
or even just the rhythms of my everyday life as a maker…
...I’m open to sharing it, if it serves you.
Just leave a comment to this post (or send me an email). I read every word. And your thoughts and questions will help shape what this series becomes.
Thanks for being here. For showing up. For making this a place that feels like home.
Let’s keep growing something beautiful...together.
Cheers & Stitches,
Crystal
